Mama Andrew is thrilled to have a position with True Vineyard. As is often the case in Rwanda, Mama Andrew endured a difficult childhood. Her father was murdered when Mama Andrew was 10 years and, just four years later, she lost her mother to an unknown illness.
Mama Andrew was one of six children, but four of her siblings were murdered during the Genocide. Only she and her twin brother survived. Mama Andrew married in 1996. Although she has three children, Mama Andrew could only afford to send one child to school because she could not pay school and supply fees for all three.
In 2012 Mama Andrew's husband died, leaving the family destitute and homeless. Although Mama Andrew owns a small parcel of land, she cannot afford to build a home there. She prays to God for employment so that her living conditions may change.
