Alivera has nine children; however, two of them died when they were young. She is currently caring for six of her children and two of her grandchildren. In 2002, her husband became very ill due to his HIV, which he contracted through an extramarital relationship. Alivera continued to care for him until he passed away later that year. She has been tested five times over the past several years and so far has not tested HIV+ herself.
She came to work at True Vineyard Ministries in July 2008, and since then, there has been a big change in her life. She can now buy food, soap, and clothes for herself and her family, and she is also able to give generously to her neighbors and through her church. She now has a house, and she takes great pride in caring for it.
Alivera is thankful to God for all He has done in her life. She attends the Pentecostal Church in Musanze.
