The needs are many...

Medical:

Chicuque Rural Hospital is located in the Inhambane Province which is the poorest province of Mozambique. The hospital is a 200-bed facility and serves a community of over 500,000 people with only 1 doctor.

Medical Supplies are in short supply and volunteer medical teams are needed for short or long-term missions.

Spiritual:

Although there is a large Christian presence in Chicuque, a majority of the local people still turn to witch doctors as their first source of healing and power. True Vineyard Ministries, Inc. develops and equips evangelical teams to share God’s love with the patients at the hospital as well as in the surrounding community.

A string around the neck of a sick child is an indication that the witch doctor was visited first...

Construction & Building Improvements:

Since our involvement beginning in 2002, Mission to Mozambique has raised funding for an HIV/Diagnostic wing as well as a new kitchen at the hospital. Before the new kitchen was built, food preparation for the patients was done outside over an open flame in a 3-sided shack next to a dirt road.

Our prayer is to realize funding for a new mission house that will provide clean accommodations for volunteer mission teams. We are hopeful that this future house, "O Vinhedo" (The Vineyard) will attract medical teams to the hospital.

Approximate cost for this project is $50,000.
